Amended School Calendar for 2017-2018

Due to the Texas Education Agency’s amended STAAR/EOC Testing Calendar, CISD was faced with the necessity of amending our calendar.

We have been forced to make 3 changes:

1. January 12^th, 2018, which corresponds with the Val Verde County Livestock Show is now a Bad Weather Day. Bad Weather Days are days that TEA mandates that a school include in their calendar for makeup in case a school must close due to bad weather.
2. Our Final Exams will be held on May 2-4, before state testing has started.
3. The final day of school will be moved to May 18^th. That is a mandated make up day for students that have missed state tests due to illness. That day will be a full day and we will have award ceremonies after lunch.

We apologize for any inconvenience. TEA amended their testing calendar on June 28^th, at least two months after we had adopted our calendar. If you have any questions, please call us at 4323-292-4444.
